O que Philippines exige

The Early Years Act of 2013 (Republic Act No. 10410) and the ECCD Council's Standards and Guidelines for Center-Based Early Childhood Programs require every centre to have at least two adults trained in health care, nutrition and emergency procedures, to keep a first aid kit available at all times, and to be able to administer basic first aid — with Republic Act No. 12199 further strengthening Child Development Worker training. Oversight rests with the Early Childhood Care and Development Council and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. No fixed CPR-certificate renewal cycle is set, so keeping skills current is a matter of professional responsibility.

The ECCD centre standards call for a medication log with a physician's written order and for recording each child's allergies, but they do not specifically address anaphylaxis or epinephrine auto-injectors, which are prescription-only and of limited availability in the Philippines. This puts the weight on prevention and early recognition — knowing which children are at risk, avoiding their triggers, and getting emergency help fast. Staff trained to recognise a severe allergic reaction and respond without hesitation are a centre's most dependable safeguard.
